Print Studio Internship – 3 months - AA

Who We Are
The Architectural Association was founded in 1847. The AA is governed by its members and is committed to public benefit attained by the learning, teaching, discussion and promotion of architecture.
With 850 students and staff the AA School is central to the AA. The school is recognised as a worldwide leader in architectural education, with graduates that include many of the world’s leading architects, scholars, critics and educators.
The Architectural Association School of Architecture has maintained it independence for more than 160 years. It is not part of the university system of UCAS. However, it offers the same professional qualification (RIBA/ARB Parts 1 and 2) as other recognised schools of architecture, and is therefore in competition with them in terms of student enrolment.

Who we Seek
The AA Print Studio seeks a creative, ambitious, graphic designer intern to assist and gain experience in the production of books, websites, environmental graphics, exhibition materials, marketing and other materials related to the Architectural Association.This internship is full-time (5 days per week) for a period of 3 months.

Main Responsibilities
Duties involved working closely with all members of the Print Studio and members within the school on a wide range of projects, including books, catalogues, invitations, posters, merchandise and electronic media.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should have a BA in graphic design, or currently be enrolled in full-time education and should have fluency in current design software. Candidates should be creative, self-motivated and have an interest in contemporary art and design and be able to communicate graphic concepts clearly as well as have an extremely flexible attitude Excellent spoken and written English is essential.

What we Offer
Salary is at the hourly rate of £6.19
