VACANCY: Events and Training Officer (Internship)
LOCATION: London (Clapham North Office) – with occasional UK travel
TIMESCALE: 6 month placement (October 2012- March 2013)
REPORTS TO: Director of Dare2Lead
SALARY: Travel and lunch costs will be covered
DEADLINE : Friday September 7th (with interviews later in September)
ROLE OUTLINE:
Dare2Lead seeks a motivated, inspirational and dedicated individual to join their small team from October 2012. The role will have direct responsibility to:
- lead the planning and admin of a large scale Leadership Summit to be held at Windsor Castle in February 2013
- Support with engagement of policy-makers, business figures, youth leaders, partner organisations and wider civil society.
- responsible to liaise with the company’s team of Associate Trainers
- support with the planning of leadership training sessions
- Provide support to the Director to enable him to fufill his duties
- Help maintain social media presence and website development
- Develop a contacts management database
- Other duties as reasonably required
The successful candidate should have some experience in either civil society, training, the youth sector, campaigning, activism, events planning and management or marketing.
Desirable skills and qualities are strong communication skills (written and verbal), a fast-paced approach to working, ability to work independently and flexibly, good problem-solver, strong interpersonal skills, well organized and logical and importantly a passion for what they do and a hunger to learn and help make whatever they do a success.
