Internship description: To administer IARS’ new 99% campaign blog. To coordinate article
submissions from volunteers and ensure that articles are submitted on time. To read all article
submissions and proofread for spelling and grammar errors. To work with the Volunteer Coordinator
to communicate with volunteer journalists about new articles and feedback on their work. To assist
with managing the blog, including adding new content on a weekly basis. To establish a social media
presence for the 99% blog. Other duties will include attending and participating in internal IARS
meetings and other relevant meetings and to carry out additional tasks which may be required from
time to time under the direction of the Director.
Requirements:
 Position would suit a graduate/postgraduate with an interest in journalism/editing;
 Empathy with the aims and objects of IARS;
 Good IT skills and ability to administer a blog using a content management system;
 Work well independently;
 Good written, oral communication skills;
 A keen eye for spotting errors.
Expenses: We are able to pay up to £7.50 a day for travel expenses and £5 for lunch.
