projects, supporting the development of qualifications.
Creative & Cultural Skills, the
Sector Skills Council for the UK’s creative and cultural industries, including
craft, cultural heritage, design, literature, music, performing arts and visual
arts.
The internship will commence as soon
as possible, and for a fixed period of three months. It is possible that at the
end of the internship period a more formal role may be available.
The person
We are looking for a confident
self-starter who has an interest in learning and skills, and a background in
research, project management, or events organisation and support. Your
experience may have been gained through formal study or more hands-on involvement.
The key person criterion for this
role is a ‘can-do’ problem solving attitude and an ability to work well with
people. You should be able to communicate technical information in an
accessible way, and have the capacity to gain skills and experience in
technical development activities. You must have strong written and
communication skills, in person, online and in print.
The role
The overall purpose of the role is to
provide support for, and manage where appropriate, key projects within the
Qualifications Team at Creative & Cultural Skills. This will include
National Occupational Standards (NOS), Apprenticeships and qualifications
related projects.
You will play a key role in
supporting the successful delivery of projects in each area, as well as dealing
with queries from external stakeholders such as Awarding Organisations and
funding organisations.
This role also offers an opportunity
to develop technical knowledge and experience of NOS, vocational qualifications
and Apprenticeships framework development. It is ideal for those interested in
working in the education sector or in a graduate level project management role.
You will possess the relevant skills
and capabilities that will enable you to:

Provide support for particular
elements of NOS, Apprenticeship and qualifications related projects
·
To work with internal and external
stakeholders
·
Support the consultation process for
NOS, Apprenticeship and qualifications related projects.
·
Liaise with working groups
·
Provide project support, including
project and budget management, across a broad range of development projects
·
Deal with enquiries and requests for
information, resolving issues and ensuring any resulting deadlines are met.
·
Update the corporate website and
manage external communications
·
Develop your knowledge of the
qualifications systems across the UK, including technical knowledge and
experience of NOS, qualifications and Apprenticeship framework development.
Support
You will be able to work with a
number of Creative & Cultural Skills staff to find out about how a Sector
Skills Council works, and gain practical experience of qualifications
development
Renumeration
This role is a formal internship
available for a maximum of three months. In return, the successful candidate
will be paid £1,500 per month and work 37.5 hours per week.
The role is based at Creative &
Cultural Skills’ head office in London Bridge, SE1 3HN.
